CIC RPRF Payment

Getting excited here because we just received a request from CIC to pay our Right of Permanent Residence Fee (RPRF). Just the word permanent residence makes me giggle to the highest level, LOL.

MyCIC tricked me this time (smiley). Why? As I have said in my previous blog, I am awarding myself as the most logged in applicant of CIC. And yes, before I went to sleep (almost 11:00 PM, 26 January 2016, Philippine time), I have checked MyCIC for the last time and no update nor a message. And this morning, I did a usual check on my yahoo mail for anything to do with CIC and boom, LOL. There goes the donotreply thing, LOL, which says you have a new message. The mail came into my inbox at 3:00 AM, 27 January 2016 (Philippine time). At least, we now know that our application is still at Ottawa Visa Office.

Excited as a child, my husband and I grabbed the ipad and went straight to MyCIC. Darn our so fast connection at home, LOL. My goodness our connection just adds up to the agony of excitement and nervousness, so slow. Anyway, when the message with pdf file finally opens, the RPRF request for payment is there straight in our eyes. Oh my God, so thrilled, excited and thankful. We cannot utter any words but just to say "thank you Lord". We are so pleased and relieved. Here goes our pdf message from CIC:

Okay, just a background, we did not really pay our upfront RPRF although we can do it. Why? I have read through a fellow Pinay in Canada Visa forum that it can be done and so as to know a little update from the PR application. Thus, we decided not to pay it because my husband can patiently wait but me no, never, hahaha. Months of waiting can really go into my nerves, LOL.

I actually researched on how to pay the RPRF once a request will be receive by us. I saved it but I cannot open it so I asked my friend google and it coursed me to all these:

I have chosen "Apply on paper and pay online" step and I have clicked on "Pay my fees online" which directed me to the last image above. From the website shown in the last image, just follow the instruction, choose which one to pay. As for us, the RPRF, then it will asked you to register for the online payment.

Good thing I have checked on MyCIC for any uploading slot like when they have requested for Schedule 4/4A. There are 2 slots allotted. Why? That is for my husband and I. So, when I made payment for our RPRF, I paid it individually to have 2 official receipts. The official receipts will come in a pdf format so no need to scan or anything. Once done with the payment, I uploaded the pdf file in each slots. Now, our updated documents looks like these:

A little more our little R. A little more. For now, we continue to pray for God's guidance. All in His most perfect precious time, we will get to see and meet somewhere there in the maple leaf country. Winter is coming for you our little R. Pray, believe and have faith.

NB Information Session 2016

I cannot help but blog this one since all my friends and acquaintances are asking.

The Government of New Brunswick is coming back to our country for another information sessions scheduled on (1) January 23 to 25 in Manila, and (2) January 29-30 in Cebu. They will be conducting 10 information sessions as shown below:

For our readers on this blog, please be informed that the information session is totally FREE OF CHARGE. Just go to livinginnb.ca website and register from there. It is just sad that some consultants and agents here in the Philippines are taking advantage and charging P500.00 to P1,500.00 in order for their clients to attend the information session.

Just like you, me. we and us, almost all of us dreamt of going to the maple leaf country for different reasons only us will know. Money is the obvious main hindrance why we cannot push through with our Canada dream especially us here in the third world country. Who does not want a greener pasture? It is just disappointing that the Government of NB comes here in our country at their own expense and do the information session completely FREE OF CHARGE and our own countrymen charged a fee at the expense of their clients. Shameful act it is. I know it is part of their business and for them business is business...B-U-T. :( :( :(

Anyway, I always say this. We do not need a consultant or an agent to make our Canada dream come through. All we need is to be resourceful. Take time to read, read and read. Be informed and not misinformed. Join forums, ask questions there, share your experiences and most of all, win new friends, not only here in the Philippines but with other nationalities. Also, do not forget to be friends with Mr. Google. He knows almost everything. The most important of all is do not forget to ask God for guidance. If you can do this then I bet you, you will also receive the golden ITA not only to the province you are applying just like us (NBPNP) but from the Federal Government of Canada, CIC.

My husband and I are not the only attendees in the information session of July 2015 which were held also in Manila and Cebu. Lots of Filipinos came including other countries in Asia. Yes, other nationalities came here just to attend the information session given by the Government of NB. Why? Because once you attended one, you will have a chance to apply and be given an ITA by NBPNP. Our journey to the maple leaf country from the information session to NBPNP ITA to nomination to CIC ITA etc. is one testament that an applicant can DIY (do-it-yourself) their Canada dream. If we did it so can you.

I just have to say this also. Thank you Government of NB for giving Filipinos a chance to live and work in your beautiful province. My husband and I can only speak to ourselves but we can assure you of our loyalty and good service once we get through with CIC stage.

CIC Background Check Updated (Part 1)

Yesterday, 12 January 2016 (Philippine Time), I logged in again to MyCIC profile and there goes the word "updated" on our PR application. LOL, I will soon be awarded the most logged in applicant of CIC. (wink, wink, wink).

So, as usual my adrenaline rush spike to the highest level of it only to see that there is no update done on our application. Sigh. Why put the word "updated" when no updates has been done. That was around 4:30 P.M.

During night time, at almost 10:00 P.M., I still cannot go over with the word "updated" and literally cannot move on, LOL. Common, it is CIC stage!!! Yeah, I know, your guess is as good as mine, funny. Yes, you are correct. I opened our MyCIC profile one more time and there goes the updated portion of our application. Our background check change from "not started" to "not needed at this time" as shown below.

I therefore conclude that on 12 January 2016, I did have a good night sleep, LOL (smiley, smiley), knowing that our PR application is really updated.

CIC Medical Passed

I have a habit of checking MyCIC profile since we received the golden ITA and AOR from CIC because to be honest until now I still cannot believe that we are now at CIC level. Also, I have this fear that the permanent residency (PR) application will get lost so I am checking it from time to time, LOL. Funny I know but this is just me, LOL (smiley, smiley).

This afternoon I logged in again to MyCIC profile only to see that our PR application has been updated. So, I immediately click on it and there goes the update. Our medical changed from "review in progress" to "passed" as shown below:

My eyes did not blink while my right arm is looking for my cellphone. I called my husband right away to inform him of the good news. Yay, we passed the medicals. Thank you dear Father God. We just passed one difficult ordeal in our CIC requirements for our PR application.

I know I always get emotional when posting some updates on our blog because this is our make or break move to becoming parents to our little R but I just want to share. When we were doing our infertility work ups both me and my husband always wanted to give up because we never had the chance to move forward. We were always left as one of the clappers every time a fellow infertile couple gets pregnant. But in our Canada application, every thing is just coming so fast. Now, we understand that God's plan for us is bigger, much bigger than we ever could imagine.

Bottom line, never, ever give up on your dreams. You will have to hurdle so many obstacles but do not give up. Trust God and keep the faith that someday He will answer your prayer just like what He is doing to us.

CIC Schedule 4 and 4A

After uploading and submitting our full application last 28 December 2015, I received an email from CIC on 30 December 2015 requesting for an additional document, to wit:

Also, our medical status changed from "not needed at this time" to "review in progress". In addition, our submitted documents changed from "no additional documents are needed at this time" to "we need an additional document from the applicant". See picture below.

I have read through forums that when an applicant is under PNP stream they are always required for Schedule 4 and 4A as an additional document to their application for PR.

Thus, on 31 December 2015, I downloaded the required forms at CIC website through their Application Package. Schedule 4 (Economic Classes - Provincial Nominees) form is where they will ask for your name, birthdate, which province nominated you, under what stream, how much unencumbered funds you have and duly signed by the principal applicant. Schedule 4A (Economic Classes - Provincial Nominees - Business Nominees), on the other hand, is a form not applicable to me because I was nominated through express entry and not through business class. Thus, I uploaded a LOE with my Nomination Certificate attached to it to inform CIC that the form is not applicable to me. Below now is the updated version of our MyCIC profile.

P.S. I never thought that reaching the CIC stage is more nerve wracking experience compared to our PNP application. Receiving emails from CIC, either a new message or your profile has been updated, gives me intense feeling to the point that I wanted so much to pee (sorry), LOL, but it is true.

Nevertheless, my husband and I are so grateful to our Father God that we have reached this stage especially being included at CICs last draw (23rd) for 2015. Whatever and wherever 2016 brings us, we are so ready because we know this is for little R.
